Cyberpunk 2077 mods extend dual wielding to rifles and shotguns
Four mods released within 24 hours let players dual wield shotguns, sniper rifles and more, though modders warn the results can be janky.
Four mods released within 24 hours extend Cyberpunk 2077's dual wielding to shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles and other ranged weapons, according to Rock Paper Shotgun. The mechanic arrived with the Edgerunners 2 update but was limited to pistols by CD Projekt Red.
The mods are Dual Wield Anything, released by the modder E3roKK, and Dual Wield Anything and Everything for 2.5, released by Jollywankers.
Two further mods target how the two guns fire. The modder JericoHellden released Expanded Dual Wielding, which can give players separate control of each weapon instead of alternating fire. Dederara's Independent Pistol Controls (Dual Wielding) offers independent firing for pistols only.
JericoHellden described dual wielding other gun types as a janky and wildly overpowered experience. E3roKK warned that animations may look clippy or awkward at times.
Melee weapons appear in some of the mods only as an experimental option, and dual wielding katanas is not yet properly supported. All four mods require the latest version of the Cyber Engine Tweaks framework, and Expanded Dual Wielding also requires the Redscript modding tool.
