CD Projekt Red has released Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.5, which adds a new quest that serves as a prequel story to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the Netflix anime series. The patch is available now, according to gamesradar.com.
The update also brings mod support to consoles, dual-wielding for pistols and revolvers, and a City Tours feature that offers a guided look at Night City. New clothing sets and a new radio station are included as well.
Associate game director Paweł Sasko said the update's features aim to make Night City richer, more coherent and more believable.
The patch arrives as CD Projekt Red continues work on several projects. The studio is developing The Witcher 4, a remake of The Witcher 1 and new DLC for The Witcher 3, alongside the Cyberpunk sequel Project Orion and the original IP Hadar. Cyberpunk 2077 launched in a troubled state almost six years before this update, and the Phantom Liberty expansion followed in 2023.
