Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Witcher 3 Crossover With Free Geralt Hairstyle
CD Projekt Red confirmed a first-ever crossover: Cyberpunk 2077 owners who download the new Witcher 3 remaster update get a free Geralt hairstyle and a Wolf bandana.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed the first-ever crossover between Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The official Cyberpunk 2077 X account announced the tie-in, which rewards players of both games with in-game cosmetic items.
Owners of Cyberpunk 2077 who also download the new Witcher 3 remaster update will receive a free Geralt of Rivia hairstyle. The same players will also get a Wolf bandana inspired by Cyberpunk 2077.
The move marks a shift for the studio. For most of the last six years, CD Projekt Red kept The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 completely separate. The Witcher 3, released in 2015, won Game of the Year and still receives new updates. This week, CD Projekt Red released a full remaster of The Witcher 3 for next-generation consoles including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed the final DLC, Songs of the Past, is coming next year. The Witcher 4 will shift focus from Geralt of Rivia to his protégé Ciri and launches in 2028. Cyberpunk 2077 premiered in 2020 and launched in a disastrous state before being redeemed through quality of life and DLC updates.
The crossover was reported by Collider.
