Cyberpunk TCG expansion Edgerunners: Burn Bright arrives spring 2027
WeirdCo's first Cyberpunk TCG expansion draws on the Edgerunners anime and launches in English and French in spring 2027, Polygon reports.
WeirdCo announced on Tuesday morning the second set and first expansion of the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, titled Edgerunners: Burn Bright, which launches in spring 2027. The set draws characters, weapons, cyberware and scenes from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, according to Polygon.
Polygon exclusively revealed two card illustrations for the set. Caught in the Crossfire, illustrated by Studio Grafit, depicts Gloria Martinez bloodied on the road after the highway crash. Adam Smasher — Story Ends Here, illustrated by Erik Ly, shows the cyborg amid smoke and wreckage with bodies underfoot.
WeirdCo said the set will introduce new mechanics, competitive strategies, foil and textured treatments, and a new chase rarity to be revealed later.
Edgerunners: Burn Bright will launch in English and French in spring 2027, with Chinese language support following later. Booster packs, booster displays and prerelease kits will be sold through specialist hobby stores, with prerelease tournaments held one week before retail release.
