DayZ Badlands Expansion Launches With 267-Square-Kilometer Map

Bohemia Interactive has released the DayZ expansion DLC Badlands, adding the Nasdara map and base-game update 1.30, priced from 3,150 yen.

Bohemia Interactive released the expansion DLC "Badlands" for the zombie survival game DayZ on October 15, 2026, adding a new map called Nasdara that covers 267 square kilometers and is described as the largest to date for the game.

Nasdara features remnants of the oil industry, major roads, border checkpoints and settlements set in dry rural areas. The map introduces new survival threats including extreme heat, drought and sandstorms, with water needed for cooling and protection as well as hydration, alongside region-specific weapons, clothing, food and other items inspired by the setting and history.

New wildlife includes mouflons, monitor lizards and two kinds of dogs guarding places tied to their former owners, according to GamesPark. Update 1.30 also brings content and improvements to the base game, including motorcycles, firearms and various items, while modding support gains an updated animation system and a new system for punching holes in terrain.

DayZ Badlands is available for PC via Steam, PS4 overseas and Xbox at 3,150 yen or 24.99 dollars, with 10 percent off on Steam until October 30.
