Atooi Opens Steam Page for Dementium 2, Launching This Month

The original development team is handling the Steam port, which adds up to 4K resolution and a new flashlight option.

Atooi has opened a Steam page for Dementium 2, confirming that the horror game will arrive on Valve's platform sometime this month, according to gamerant.com. The port is being handled by the original development team.

The Steam version includes support for up to 4K resolution as well as an optional retro pixel resolution mode. Atooi is also adding a new flashlight option and optional enemy proximity music.

The port features a single-screen redesign with an on-screen mini-map, along with controller and mouse-and-keyboard support. It is also listed as Steam Deck compatible and will include Steam Achievements.

A series with prior Steam history

The original Dementium was released on the Nintendo DS in 2007, and Dementium 2 followed on the same platform in 2010. In 2013, Dementium 2 received an HD Steam release developed by a third-party studio without the original developers, and it was critically panned at release. Last year, Dementium: The Ward also received a Steam port.
