DetonatioN FocusMe loses VCT partner status for 2027

The Japanese organisation was not selected as a partner team for the VALORANT Champions Tour from 2027, but says its VALORANT division will keep running.

DetonatioN FocusMe announced on 19 October 2026 that it was not selected as a partner team for the VALORANT Champions Tour from the 2027 season onward, according to inside-games.jp.

The organisation said it will continue its VALORANT division's activities despite the result, and that its structure for 2027 will be announced once decided.

The decision comes as Riot Games changes the VCT format. From 2027, the number of partner teams in each region drops from 10 to 8, and the circuit shifts from a closed league toward an open format.

Partner teams still receive preferential treatment, including direct entry to Kickoff, while advancement from the Cups onward depends on results.

DetonatioN FocusMe has competed in the VCT Pacific since the league opened in 2023.
