ScreenRant exclusively revealed a new Dice Throne line called Dice Throne SAGAS, a story-driven tabletop game playable solo or with up to three friends. The first release in the line is titled Dice Throne SAGAS: The Crimson Code, and a trailer for it has been released.

The Crimson Code is set in a futuristic VR realm called the Nexus. The villain The Mad King returns in SAGAS, wielding the Crimson Code to manipulate the Nexus.

The Crimson Code introduces four new playable heroes: Punch-A-Tron 3000, a rogue worker bot powered by a nuclear fuel cell; Snyper, a trick-shot assassin who ricochets bullets off her own deck; Hacker, a holographic hacker who creates technology on the fly; and Phantom Runner, a dimensional ghost who can phase through solid matter.

The game uses a comic book-inspired booklet and game board hybrid. The Crimson Code also introduces red bytes and blue bytes as cube-shaped tokens replacing traditional status effects.
