Disbond free demo runs October 19-26 for Steam Next Fest
Bozz Studio's 32-player zombie shooter Disbond will offer a free demo during Steam Next Fest, with Survival and Escape modes and eight classes.
Bozz Studio has announced that a free demo of its zombie shooter Disbond will be available from October 19 to October 26, timed to Steam Next Fest, according to gamebiz.jp. The demo will run on Steam.
Disbond is a competitive multiplayer zombie shooter built around an infection theme. Every player starts as a human, and 20 seconds into a match one of them becomes a zombie. Humans who are bitten turn infected, so the human side shrinks while the zombie side grows as the match goes on.
The game offers two modes. In Survival, players use supplies and barricades to hold out against zombie attacks; in Escape, they clear obstacles to reach the depths of the map.
Eight playable classes are planned, among them Gunman, Architect, Crawler and Smasher, and each has different abilities depending on whether the player is human or a zombie. Gunfire carries a knockback effect that can push back zombies closing in on the human side.
Players can buy firearms and special equipment, and place physics-based props to build barricades or open new routes across the map. Online multiplayer supports up to 32 players, with bots filling in when there are not enough players.
