Double Eleven Job Listing Fuels GTA6 Switch 2 Port Rumors

A job listing posted by UK developer Double Eleven on September 3 has drawn attention after it cited experience with Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as a plus, fueling rumors that the studio is working on a Grand Theft Auto VI port for Nintendo's console. The listing gained wide discussion on October 21 after overseas community outlets covered it, according to inven.co.kr.

The posting is for a senior low-level graphics programmer. It does not mention Grand Theft Auto VI or Rockstar Games by name, and Double Eleven has not confirmed any connection to the title.

Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard addressed the possibility earlier this month in an interview with Variety, saying a GTA6 Switch 2 version is a matter for Take-Two and Rockstar to discuss and that there is nothing to announce now.

Double Eleven has prior experience with Switch hardware: it handled the Switch port of Red Dead Redemption in August 2023, and also worked on the Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions released on December 2 last year.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick said at an earnings call in February last year that he expects the company to support Switch 2, and in May last year said Take-Two does not put every title on every platform and decides per title. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
