The release marks Double Fine's first game since splitting from Xbox earlier this summer. The studio also laid off a quarter of its workforce, while Xbox plans to cut around 3,200 staff by next summer.
Thank You Bus Driver will launch Double Fine Action Labs, a new label for weird, little games. Studio head Tim Schafer said there was no ill will between Xbox and Double Fine, and expressed support for Game Pass.
