Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Trailer Shows Gogeta's Super Saiyan Blue Moveset
A new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 trailer from IGN's Fall Fan Fest reveals Gogeta's Super Saiyan Blue transformation with its own combos, as Bandai Namco confirms the transformation timer will be removed before launch.
IGN released a new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 trailer during its annual Fall Fan Fest, showing Gogeta, Orange Piccolo and a new Dragon Ball character named Brett in action with new combos and gameplay mechanics.
The trailer highlights Gogeta's Super Saiyan Blue transformation, which unlocks a moveset completely different from his regular Super Saiyan moveset, including changed basic attack combos.
During the live stream, Bandai Namco of America's YouTube channel commented that the transformation timer has been confirmed to be removed before launch. The trailer itself is an older build of the game and still shows the transformation timer visible on Gogeta's Super Saiyan Blue transformation.
Background
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 was first teased at Dragon Ball's 40th anniversary Genkidamatsuri event early in 2026. An early demo revealed transformations were on a timer, unlike Xenoverse 1 and Xenoverse 2, causing fan backlash, after which Bandai announced it would remove the timer in the final build. The game's official description on Bandai Namco's website says players explore West City in AGE 1000 as part of the Great Saiyan Squad. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is set to release in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, with a specific date yet to be announced.
