Shoreline Games' Dreadline Express Hits Steam October 16

A limited-time demo of the first-person psychological horror game is available ahead of its Steam launch, alongside a new announcement trailer.

Shoreline Games announced that its new psychological horror game, Dreadline Express, will launch on Steam on October 16. A limited-time demo is being distributed ahead of the release, according to gamebiz.jp.

The game is a first-person psychological horror title set aboard the last train running across a ruined Earth. Players explore a steam train filled with survivors, each hiding different stories and motivations.

Dreadline Express uses a card-based narrative system in which discoveries and encounters are stored as cards in an evolving album. An announcement trailer was also published.

Developer David Konekny said he focused on the fun of players understanding connections out of curiosity, rather than just following destination instructions. Shoreline Games CEO Keith Kawamura praised the game's unique design of trusting players' voluntary exploration.
