Duet Night Abyss Adds Ritmo, the Flame-Clad in Major Update

Hong Kong Spiral Rising Technology began distributing the major update “Akatsuki wo Ayumu” for Duet Night Abyss on October 20, according to Automaton Media. The update adds Ritmo, the Flame-Clad as a new playable character.

The new character is voiced by Asami Seto. It is the first time in the game that an existing character has been turned into a separate playable character as a costume variant.

Ritmo, the Flame-Clad keeps the lightning attribute, with revised in-game performance as a sniper specialized in boss battles. The character can be obtained for free through the battle content “Taiken-gata Gekijou”.

The update also adds a sub-story focused on Ritmo, alongside a new skin gacha featuring the limited skin “Ito wo Musubi, Yoru wo Yuku” for Ritmo, the Flame-Clad. A new weapon, “Ikiru Omosa”, is included as well, along with further Origin enhancements for Shiryu and Yumin.

From imperial soldier to adventurer

Ritmo was originally a soldier of the empire, serious and diligent, but after an event in the main story she questioned the empire's cause and left the military to become an adventurer. The game had previously featured developments in which the protagonist awakens to another attribute, but this is the first implementation of a costume-variant of an existing character.
