Dungeon Crawler Carl Tabletop RPG Gets 23 November Launch
Zatu Games opens pre-orders for Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable, a roguelike deck-builder by John D. Clair, plus two expansions.
Zatu Games has opened pre-orders for Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable, a tabletop RPG based on the Dungeon Crawler Carl novels. The game is set to launch on 23 November and is priced at £44.59.
Designed by John D. Clair, Unstoppable is described as a roguelike, momentum deck-building game. It drops players into the 18-floor World Dungeon from the books, translating the series' deadly crawl to the tabletop.
Two expansions are also available for pre-order at £18.99 each: Crawler Chaos and Iron Tangle. The Iron Tangle expansion adds the fourth floor of the World Dungeon and is not a standalone game, meaning players will need the base set to use it.
From LitRPG Hit to Tabletop
The source material has grown well beyond its origins. Dungeon Crawler Carl began as a self-published novel by Matt Dinniman and became a hit on the LitRPG charts. In 2024, Ace Books took over publishing the series, which now spans eight books and over 14 million copies sold.
Further adaptations are in the works: a television show is currently in development at Peacock, and graphic novels are planned. Screen Rant reported the pre-order news.
