F-Zero GX Cheat Codes Unlock Gold Parts After 23 Years

A player known as BTEST4HE posted on X that eight cheat codes can be input in F-Zero GX, each unlocking specific sets of parts purchasable in the in-game shop. The discovery comes 23 years after the game's release, according to Kotaku.

The codes work on both the English and Japanese versions of F-Zero GX, regardless of system, BTEST4HE said. They function on the original GameCube version, the Wii version, and the Nintendo Classics version on Nintendo Switch 2.

Five of the eight codes, including those unlocking the Gold Parts, require input using four controllers simultaneously.

F-Zero GX was released on the GameCube in 2003. The Gold Parts could originally only be unlocked by attending in-person promotional events in Japan.
