Final Fantasy 14 Evolved Mode jobs to get dedicated Live Letter before Evercold
Koji Fox and Toshio Murouchi confirmed at PAX Australia that Evolved Mode job details will be shown in a Producer Live Letter ahead of the January launch window.
Final Fantasy 14 localization director Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and global community producer Toshio Murouchi discussed job redesigns and character customization at a PAX Australia panel, according to PCGamesN. During the streamer panel, the pair confirmed that Evolved Mode jobs will be detailed in a dedicated Producer Live Letter before the Evercold expansion launches.
Murouchi said Evolved Mode job demonstrations will not take place at Japan Fanfest and will instead be shown in the dedicated Producer Live Letter ahead of the expansion. Koji Fox added that he would help translate the upcoming letter explaining all Evolved Mode jobs. Evolved Mode will sit alongside the existing Reborn Mode rather than replace it, and Evercold has a January launch window.
On character customization, Koji Fox said the addition of butt sliders has moved from a question of 'if' to a question of 'when'. The remark follows earlier discussion of the feature at past fan events, where Koji Fox recalled someone at the first Fanfest asking when butt sliders would be added.
Four Evolved Mode jobs have been shown so far: Paladin, White Mage, Bard and Dragoon. At Fanfest Berlin, game director Naoki Yoshida's keynote showed a wider range of color selections coming in 8.0, with skin, hair and eye colors adjustable in new ways. From patch 8.1, players will be able to remove Miqo'te war paint, hide Lalafell and Viera nose shading, and change Au Ra horns independently of face shape.
