Sega details Football Manager 2027 match engine in new video

Sega has published a detailed feature video titled "Enhanced Match Engine" for Football Manager 2027, the next entry in the football management simulation series developed by Sports Interactive.

The video introduces a new tactical adjustment system that allows instructions to be given without leaving the match screen. Player models and body type representation have also been improved, with expanded animations for on-ball and off-ball situations.

New individual skills such as body feints, elastico and heel chops have been added, based on a multi-year partnership with Hawk-Eye Innovations.

The shouts system has been reworked so that praise or criticism directly affects a player's mental state, rather than granting small attribute bonuses. Coaching staff now provide bench feedback on the effectiveness of shouts.

Football Manager 2027 is scheduled for release on November 11, 2026. The series, published by Sega and developed by UK studio Sports Interactive, lets users manage a football club from local semi-pro teams to world-famous clubs.
