Forked Lives Opens Public Test as Free Browser Life Sim

Players pick one of 172 countries or regions and can revisit key decisions, in a game playable on phone, PC and browser with no download.

The text-based life simulation game Forked Lives is now available in public test form as a free browser game, according to gamemeca.com. It runs on smartphone, PC and browser without a download or account registration.

Players begin by choosing one of 172 countries or regions to set their birth conditions, then make choices across childhood, education, career, family relationships and friendships. Key decision points can be saved so players can return to the past and try a different path, and earlier experiences and relationships affect gameplay years later.

The game applies simplified fictional rules rather than attempting to recreate life in an actual country precisely. It does not include real-time multiplayer or co-op, but friends can start from the same conditions on their own devices and later compare how their choices and outcomes differed.

The developers used AI tools in an assistive capacity during production. The game supports 15 languages, including Korean.
