Fortnite Madrid Posters Show Generic Anime Skins

Posters in Madrid show cell-shaded anime-style characters, not One Piece figures, ahead of the Fortnite mini-season.

Promotional posters for Fortnite have appeared on the subway in Madrid as early as October 20, 2026, showing cell-shaded anime-style characters rather than recognizable figures from One Piece, according to Polygon. The posters feature two characters: a black-haired figure holding a treasure map with the caption “Have you seen the treasure?” and a turquoise-haired character with the words “Join the hunt.” Both posters include Fortnite’s pirate llama logo.

One of the characters, the turquoise-haired anime figure, was previously spotted in a skin survey. The posters do not show any recognizable One Piece characters.

The new posters follow rumors that One Piece would be the theme of the upcoming Fortnite mini-season, which gained traction after a mysterious pirate chest appeared on the island. Over the past few days, a giant pirate treasure chest was hacked into the island and began to debug.

Fortnite is currently celebrating Halloween with the Fortnitemares event, which runs for all of October. Fortnitemares ends in the early hours of November 1 alongside Chapter 7 Season 4. Last year’s mini-season was a major Simpsons event featuring a map of Springfield and themed cosmetics and weapons.
