Fortnitemares 2025 is live in Fortnite until November 1
Fortnite's Halloween event Fortnitemares has begun, running until November 1 with quests, a new POI, and crossovers arriving later this month.
Fortnitemares has returned to Fortnite, and this year's Halloween event runs until November 1. The update brings a mix of quests, weapons, and map changes, with several crossovers still to come.
Players who complete 26 Fortnitemares quests unlock the Jack-A-Nape monkey skin for free. The Pumpkin Launcher is also back, but it is not found in chests — it is available only through the Loot Hacks menu using Sprite Dust.
Loot hacks in this update include the Loot Hacker sprite variant, the Infantry Rifle, the LMG, the Pumpkin Launcher, Last Call, and Slap Candy Corn. A new melee weapon called Freddy's Nightmare, inspired by Nightmare on Elm Street, joins the lineup.
Horde Rush also returns with leveling and perks, building toward a final boss and an endless mode. On the map, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria is a new Halloween-themed point of interest where players can possess animatronics for extra HP, shields, and a free revive.
Hollow Knight, Hazbin Hotel, and Predator are coming to Fortnite later this month, according to Polygon. In October 2025, previous Fortnitemares teasers and trailers confirmed multiple collaborations, including Nightmare on Elm Street, Beetlejuice, Five Nights at Freddy's, and Obsession. The Pumpkin Launcher is an iconic Fortnitemares item that returns once a year.
