Playground Games has announced that the first major expansion for Forza Horizon 6 will be released on January 21, 2027. The studio is currently calling it "the first Premium Expansion for Forza Horizon 6."
Players who bought the premium edition, the premium upgrade, or the expansions bundle will receive the expansion automatically. Everyone else will need to buy it separately.
Playground Games said more details will be revealed closer to availability, and confirmed that a second expansion for the game is also planned. The studio did not share a release window for that second expansion.
Forza Horizon 6 launched in May 2026. Since then, the game has received weekly to-do lists and new cars, and a drift attack mode was added to the open world in a previous season. Rock Paper Shotgun reported the expansion announcement.
Expansion history
Past Forza Horizon expansions have had mixed receptions: Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions drew mixed reviews on Steam, while Forza Horizon 4's Fortune Island expansion was released earlier in that game's life.
