Forza Horizon 6 Leads 2026 First-Party Sales With 8.8M Units

Forza Horizon 6 has sold 8.8 million units to date, generating $579.2 million in revenue, according to an analysis of 2026 first-party games from PlayStation and Xbox published by Alinea Analytics. The figures place the Playground Games title at the top of the year's first-party performance chart.

Alinea Analytics found that 56.7% of Forza Horizon 6's revenue came from the Xbox ecosystem, and that 1.3 million players paid for the Game Pass upgrade. More than 10 million Game Pass subscribers accessed the game, the firm said.

The PlayStation 5 version of Forza Horizon 6 is set to launch on January 26, 2027, alongside the first Premium Expansion and a free update.

How other 2026 first-party titles performed

Marvel's Wolverine sold around 2.5 million units and generated around $193 million in revenue, with a 4.7 out of 5 star user rating on the PlayStation Store. MLB The Show 26 generated around $192.7 million, outperforming last year's edition by 25%, with 48% of its revenue coming from Xbox.

Halo: Campaign Evolved earned $86.5 million so far, including 46.5% on PlayStation 5 and 12.2% on Steam. Marathon earned $61.0 million from 1.7 million units sold across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, with 50K daily users across all platforms. MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls sold around 800K units since its August release for $51.6 million, 82% of it from PS5. Gears of War: E-Day reached 311K units (210K on Steam, 101K on Xbox) for $42.1 million, and Saros sold 521K copies for $40.4 million.
