Gag Order, co-op horror shooter, launches by end of 2026

Players join a Guardian Unit at a research lab and face tentacle-covered creatures, with the game now wishlistable on Steam.

Gag Order, a co-op horror shooter featuring tentacle-covered cephalopod creatures, is due out by the end of 2026, according to Rock Paper Shotgun. The game can already be wishlisted on Steam.

Players take the role of a Guardian Unit member at a research lab who responds to a distress call from a core part of the complex.

A run is split into two phases. In the first, the cephalopod creatures appear to be invincible; the second is built around a fast-paced team boss fight.

The game carries light SCP-style vibes and a slightly surreal tone, including crows in an abandoned office building.

Gag Order follows in the lineage of co-op horror titles such as Lethal Company. Carrion, another horror game built around a tentacle monster, let players control the creature rather than run from it.
