Alinea Analytics estimates Gears of War: E-Day sold 320,000 copies in its first week while 1.7 million players accessed it via Game Pass.
Alinea Analytics has released estimates showing that Gears of War: E-Day sold 320,000 copies in its first week and was played by 1.7 million people on Game Pass, according to kotaku.com. The game, developed by The Coalition and published by Microsoft, launched on Xbox and PC.
According to the estimates, the game generated roughly $37 million in revenue so far, with $26 million coming from Xbox players. Alinea Analytics also estimated that 722,000 Game Pass subscribers paid $30 for the Premium Edition upgrade to access the game early.
Separately, Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics stated on October 9, 2026, that the game had sold 230,000 copies. Of those, Alinea estimated 168,000 were on Steam and 62,000 on Xbox. These figures differ from the 320,000 first-week sales estimate.
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced it would remove day-one first-party releases from Game Pass for Call of Duty.
