Gods With Badges revealed as Strange Scaffold tactics game, coming to PC in 2027

The narrative tactics game was canceled at original developer Artificer before Strange Scaffold picked it up; it was shown at the Triple-i Initiative showcase.

Gods With Badges, a narrative-driven tactics game, was revealed as a Strange Scaffold project during the Triple-i Initiative showcase, with a PC release set for 2027, according to GameSpot.

The game follows a disgraced police officer returning to duty. Development began at Artificer, the Devolver Digital-owned studio behind Minos, Sumerian Six, and Showgunners, under the working title Hard Justice. The project was canceled there before Strange Scaffold took it over and brought it back into production.

Strange Scaffold's involvement ties the game to its Project Share initiative, which encourages developers to share original game code so other studios can build on it. That initiative previously helped enable another Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion game.

Gods With Badges is currently confirmed only for PC, with no release window beyond 2027.
