Rockstar's Jack McPherson said GTA 6 will still offer the "full Florida experience" through other means, though the studio did not specify what those elements would be.
The decision means players will not see a fictional version of Disney World or Universal Studios in the game, despite its Florida-inspired setting. GTA 6 is set in Vice City, a stand-in for Miami, which is about a four-hour, 230-mile drive from Orlando.
Previously, Jay Klaitz, who portrayed Lester in Grand Theft Auto 5, said in an interview that he wondered if Rockstar would create a legally distinct version of Disney World called "Psycho Park." That idea will not come to fruition.
