GTA VI Gets CERO Z 18+ Rating on Japanese Store Pages
PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store listings in Japan now show the Z rating with crime and violence icons, matching Grand Theft Auto V.
Grand Theft Auto VI now carries a CERO Z (18 and over) rating on its Japanese PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store pages, according to gamespark.jp. The listing previously showed the title as under review.
The pages display content icons for crime and violence, the same icons that accompany Grand Theft Auto V in Japan. No official announcement has been made about differences between the Japanese and overseas versions of the game.
Rockstar Games has set the release for November 19, 2026. Ratings for North America and Europe became known on October 2, 2026, and the October 15, 2026 launch trailer still listed the Japanese rating as under review.
Overseas, the ESRB rates the game M (17+) and PEGI rates it 18, citing blood and gore, intense violence and strong sexual content. In Australia and New Zealand, the rating notes mention sex scenes.
Grand Theft Auto V was also CERO Z in Japan, where sexual scenes were altered and some graphic violence was removed.
