Hatena Coffee to serve locked-spoon parfait puzzle from November 4

Experiful says the night-only parfait will run at all 9 Hatena Coffee locations from November 4 to December 31, 2026, and only solvers of an online riddle can order it.

Experiful Inc. announced on October 28 that its riddle-solving cafe chain Hatena Coffee will offer a night-only puzzle parfait, titled "Parfait Nazo: First Night 'Add a Riddle to the Unreachable Night,'" at all 9 of its locations from November 4 to December 31, 2026, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp.

The dessert is not listed on the menu. It can only be ordered by people who solve one-image riddles posted on the official website and social media and reach a hidden page, and the parfait itself is designed so that a spoon cannot reach past a certain depth. The long spoon needed to reach the bottom is kept in a locked small box.

Orders are accepted from 18:30 to 22:00 at each store, with last entry at 21:00. There is no time limit, one person can take part, and the experience is expected to take about 30 minutes. A smartphone is required because LINE is used for hints and progress.

Pricing is 2,000 yen for the parfait puzzle (2,200 yen including tax) plus a one-drink minimum.

Chain has drawn crowds since 2025 opening

Hatena Coffee has drawn more than 30,000 participants a year since its first store opened in April 2025, and has been featured on Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" and TBS's "Akko ni Omakase!" It now operates 9 stores in 6 cities nationwide.
