Humble Grove Announces Mecha Visual Novel A Line Held Tight

A charcoal-art story about a miner's strike in the 32nd century, with a demo playable now during Steam Next Fest.

Humble Grove has announced A Line Held Tight, a mecha visual novel set in the 32nd century and built around a miners' strike. A demo is playable now as part of Steam Next Fest, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.

Players take the role of The Canary, a member of a mining colony that has been cut off from the rest of humanity. The branching narrative turns on choices that shape The Canary's relationships with friends, family and fellow workers.

The game is illustrated with hand-drawn charcoal art and accompanied by a traditional folk soundtrack. Humble Grove has also released a video discussing the thinking behind the project.
