HYPNOSYNC Launches October 28 on Steam, iOS and Android
BASED KICK's free-to-play rhythm game lets players run an arcade and hypnotize customers; a Steam playtest runs until October 25.
BASED KICK announced that its music game HYPNOSYNC will be officially released on October 28 at 19:00, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp. The free-to-play title will launch simultaneously on PC via Steam, iOS and Android.
In HYPNOSYNC, players become the manager of an arcade bearing the same name and use rhythm gameplay to hypnotize its customers. Successfully hypnotizing a character lets the manager make them spend more money or turn them into obedient employees.
Each song is tied to a stage: clearing a rhythm stage above a set score hypnotizes the target character for that track. Characters who join the staff then support the player as partners, providing skills and holding conversations.
Clearing the Daze Challenge mode earns Daze Tickets, which players spend in a gacha to obtain characters. The game is free-to-play with purchases of in-game currency and items, and BASED KICK said no paid songs are planned.
A playtest open to anyone has been running on Steam and will continue until October 25, ahead of the full release.
