Hytale Chapter 1 Update Arrives October 12

Hypixel Studios has announced the release date for the first major content update for Hytale. Scheduled for October 12, 2026, the Chapter 1 update introduces a variety of new mechanics and gameplay features to the sandbox title.

The update centers on a new dungeon featuring a multi-phase mecha goblin boss. To assist players in navigating and combat, the patch adds several new items, including rocket boots, gliders, drills, and a hookshot. Additionally, a new rune system will allow players to modify their abilities using two distinct modifier runes.

According to polygon.com, the update also includes the new Encounter Manager system. This tool is designed to let both developers and players create custom boss fights and unique combat scenarios. Players will also encounter Goblin Breaches, which act as temporary portals leading to biomes filled with loot.

This update follows the game's Early Access launch in January 2026. Hypixel Studios regained the rights to the project after Riot Games canceled the title in June 2025.
