Kojima Acknowledges Fan-Made Native PC Port of P.T.
Modder LoreanXavier rebuilt the original console code to run on modern PCs, and Hideo Kojima shared coverage of the project on Twitter.
Hideo Kojima has acknowledged a native PC port of P.T. built by modder LoreanXavier, sharing coverage of the project on both his English and Japanese Twitter accounts, according to gamesradar.com.
The port rebuilds the original console code so the playable teaser runs on modern PCs. Dataminer Lance McDonald described it as a 1:1 port of the entire codebase that recreates undocumented behavior.
LoreanXavier said he was speechless that Kojima acknowledged his work. He added that he used AI only for debugging and did not blindly vibe-code the port.
Users must supply their own copy of the game, because the port contains none of the original assets.
Background
P.T. was a playable teaser meant to introduce Kojima's Silent Hills before Konami delisted it in 2015, making it effectively inaccessible. In the past decade, many fan recreations of P.T. for PC missed important but minor details.
