Peck: Kylie Minogue Street Fighter cameo fell through over timing
Orville Peck, who plays Vega, said he texted Minogue himself to try to set up the cameo in the new film, which opened last weekend.
Orville Peck said a planned cameo by Kylie Minogue in the new Street Fighter movie fell through because of timing, according to an interview with Queerty. Peck, who plays Vega in the film, said talks took place about bringing Minogue in and that he texted her himself to help arrange it.
Minogue played Cammy in the 1994 Street Fighter movie starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. In the new film, Cammy is played by Mel Jarnson.
Peck told Queerty he still hopes to arrange a photo of Minogue and Jarnson together as the two Cammys, and raised the possibility of doing it around a sequel.
The new Street Fighter movie premiered last weekend and earned about $51 million globally against an $82 million budget.
Old ties, new song
Minogue and Peck previously worked together: in 2024 they released the song Midnight Ride with Diplo.
