Latale gets Area of Taste update with new dungeons, guild changes

Actoz Soft released the "Area of Taste" update for its action RPG Latale on October 21, 2026, the company announced. The update adds a new scenario, two new dungeons, a reorganized guild system and a Halloween event, according to game.donga.com.

The new scenario begins with two letters urgently seeking adventurers, sent by Jade, a magician of the Infinite Corridor, and Zelic of the Mongle Mongle Guild. The two new dungeons are a pond where frog calls never stop after uninvited guests appear, and a suspicious doll shop that opens at midnight where dolls beg visitors to take them outside.

The dungeons feature boss monsters Vasilisa, princess of the Bain clan, and Tariel the Goose Doll, a large fluffy goose doll holding a broken watermelon doll.

The guild system was reorganized: players can now choose and change guild room designs, the existing guild crop harvesting content was removed, and new guild challenge missions such as subjugation, escape and mining were introduced. The update also improved the item lock system and added a bulk dismantling function.

Halloween event and anniversary OST

Actoz Soft is running the "Street of the Suspicious Doll" Halloween event with attendance, mission and minigame activities. Rewards include 2026 Radet draw tickets, Platinum Hammers, Boxes of Challenge and Challenge EXP Drinks, and the event's costume items include a Gumiho costume, a Grim Reaper costume and a Virgin Ghost costume.

The update follows the release of the OST "Shine," a collaboration with virtual artist Hebi marking Latale's 20th anniversary and its new Idol class. In early July 2026, Actoz Soft also ran a pop-up store for the anniversary.
