Lelu Confirmed for Steam Next Fest With New Playable Demo
The metroidvania action adventure from developer Jamie Rowan will offer a fresh demo during Steam Next Fest, with a 2027 release planned.
Lelu, the metroidvania-style action adventure from UK indie developer Jamie Rowan, has been confirmed for Steam Next Fest, where a new demo will be playable. The demo will be available from the game's Steam Next Fest page for the duration of the event, and players can add the title to their wishlists while it runs.
The game casts the player as a clockwork wind-up toy that gains self-awareness and seeks freedom. Exploration unfolds across various areas of a factory, where players collect tools, solve puzzles and fight hostile toys as well as giant toy titans. The design combines classic dungeon exploration with the traversal of a large map.
Lelu supports Japanese alongside English and other languages. Super Rare Originals and Electronic Sheep Games are attached to the project as publishers.
The game is scheduled for release on January 22, 2027. Gamebiz.jp reported the Steam Next Fest confirmation.
