Love and Deepspace Warns Players Not to Make Its Shimmering Blend Drinks

The game's official account said the event cocktails are fictional after fans flagged poisonous garnishes including datura and flame lily.

The official social media account for Love and Deepspace published a safety notice on September 30, 2026, stating that the Shimmering Blend drinks shown in the game are fictional and intended for in-game purposes only, and that they should not be recreated or consumed in reality. According to IGN, the notice followed player complaints about the cocktail recipes.

The warning came two days after the game revealed five Shimmering Blend cocktail recipes as part of an in-game event, each themed around one of the game's romanceable characters.

Players quickly pointed to the garnishes. One recipe calls for pomegranate juice garnished with cinnamon and datura, a highly poisonous, psychoactive plant that causes delirium, fever, tachycardia and hallucinations. Another uses sweet peach juice with a flame lily garnish and gelatin sheets; flame lilies contain colchicine, which can be lethal and cause fever, vomiting, diarrhea and hypovolemic shock.

Fans flooded the replies to the recipe post calling for it to be deleted and warning that the flowers are literally poisonous.

The Love and Deepspace accounts have also continued to receive photos of the canceled love interest Valko, who was announced and then canceled before release, with players creating shrines to him and gathering outside the developer's offices.
