Luden.io Unveils SuperWEIRD, a Four-Player Automation Roguelite for 2027
The Steam store page for SuperWEIRD is now taking playtest sign-ups, with players building robot production lines to arm combat bots.
Luden.io has announced SuperWEIRD, an automation roguelite built around co-op play for up to four players, with a planned release in 2027. The Steam store page is currently recruiting playtesters, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp.
In the game, players build production lines in which worker robots manufacture and transport resources, supplying weapons to combat bots. Flags placed on the map direct robot routes and work locations, linking production processes to delivery routes that keep combat robots stocked with stronger weapons.
Those supply lines have to be defended. Enemies are creatures and giant robot bosses that serve a being said to have shattered the planet, and they eat both resources and buildings, so production networks must be run in coordination with defense.
The planet itself is split into tiles spread across hundreds of pieces. Players combine these pieces to expand the world as they build.
Rescuing residents caught in the corruption and bringing them back to base earns perks, including increased health, higher item stack limits and faster movement.
