Made by Hand woodworking sim opens Steam page with playtest

Alice Games has opened the Steam store page for Made by Hand, its woodworking workshop simulator, and is running a playtest of the game, according to gamespark.jp. The title remains in development and no release date has been announced.

The playtest build is available through the store page. Players measure wood to millimeter-level precision and operate machines including lathes to build furniture, which can then be sold online.

Early playtesters describe long stretches spent on single tasks: one said an hour was spent sanding alone.

Discussion of the game on Reddit has included requests for hazardous details such as circular-saw kickback, alongside players asking for detailed construction advice.
