God Packs Return to Magic: The Gathering in Nauctis: The Sunken Realm
Wizards of the Coast says God Packs, with 14 rares or mythic rares, return starting with the February 2026 set Nauctis: The Sunken Realm.
Wizards of the Coast announced that God Packs are returning to Magic: The Gathering starting with the Nauctis: The Sunken Realm set in February 2026. According to Polygon, the packs will appear in every pack of cards that is part of the Magic Multiverse, with a slight chance for a regular Booster Pack to be a God Pack.
What is in a God Pack
Regular God Packs contain one God Pack celebration card, 10 non-foil rares or mythic rares, two non-foil Booster Fun rares or mythic rares, and two traditional-foil Booster Fun rares or mythic rares.
Approximately one in every 1,000 regular Booster Packs will be a God Pack, while Collector Boosters will have God Pack odds of approximately one in 300 packs. Collector Booster God Packs contain one God Pack celebration card, one foil land, three foil default-frame rares or mythic rares, three non-foil Booster Fun rares or mythic rares, and five foil Booster Fun rares or mythic rares.
Universes Beyond releases are expected to include God Packs starting in 2028. Wizards of the Coast advises players who open a God Pack during a tournament to stop and call a judge or tournament organizer.
In 2014, Journey into Nyx booster packs had a 1-in-1000 chance to contain a God Pack with 15 legendary gods from the Theros block.
