Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Debut Stream Set for October 20

Wizards of the Coast will show cards from the final Magic set of 2026, including four Commander Decks and two Scene Boxes.

Wizards of the Coast will stream the Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Debut presentation on October 20 at 10:00 a.m. PT, the company announced. The broadcast is set to showcase new cards from the crossover set, according to gamerant.com.

The Star Trek set is the fourth Magic crossover of 2026 and the last set of the year. The presentation is expected to feature cards drawn from all 60 years of the Star Trek franchise, and a teaser visual shows a card based on the USS Enterprise.

Products expected to appear during the stream include Commander Decks and the Beam Me Up Bundle. The expansion ships with four Commander Decks themed around Captain Picard, Spock, the Borg Queen and Worf, plus two Scene Boxes that each contain six exclusive cards forming a full scene. The crossover also includes autographed cards of Captain Kirk, Captain Picard and Captain Janeway.

Production issues precede the reveal

Wizards of the Coast recently confirmed that the planned Beginner's Boxes for the Star Trek set were canceled because of distribution and production issues. The company also said Commander Decks, Bundles and Draft Night boxes for the expansion will be delayed in multiple regions worldwide.

Earlier in 2026, Magic: The Gathering released a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover set along with expansions of its Marvel and Middle-earth collaborations. The recent Corn Maze Superdrop Secret Lair added cards themed around Marvel: Zombies, KPop Demon Hunters and Jim Henson's Labyrinth.
