Magic: The Gathering Star Trek Set Adds Signed Textless Headliner Cards
Wizards of the Coast says the Star Trek Universes Beyond set will include textless foil headliner cards signed by the actors, limited to about 250 copies each.
Wizards of the Coast has revealed that Magic: The Gathering's Star Trek Universes Beyond set will introduce a new type of headliner card for the first time in the game's history, according to gamerant.com. The cards are limited textless foils dedicated to Kirk, Spock, Picard, Janeway, Seven of Nine, Geordi, and Data.
Only about 250 copies of each character's headliner card will exist. Each one carries a real pen-to-card signature from the Star Trek actor who portrayed the character, including Patrick Stewart and Jeri Ryan.
The signed headliner cards replace the usual serialized numbers, so each signed card may differ slightly from the others.
Launch window and past headliners
The Star Trek Universes Beyond set is slated for launch on November 13, 2026. Headliner cards have normally been serialized with numbers from 1 to 500, with only one copy of each number existing.
Magic: The Gathering's latest set released on October 2, 2025. Wizards of the Coast has confirmed only some of the sets being released for the TCG in 2027, and Universes Beyond collaborations beyond the confirmed sets remain a mystery at the moment.
