Masters of Albion's New Beginnings update is out now, overhauling performance, nighttime buffs, the Arcadium, and more.

The New Beginnings update for Masters of Albion launched today, overhauling and upgrading many of the systems from the game's original early access release.

Engine performance has been improved to average between 60 and 80 frames per second, up from a previous target of 30 fps. Nighttime gameplay was also overhauled with a buff system featuring around 200 unlockable buffs.

The Arcadium has been reworked into a card-based system unlocked with in-game currency. Product orders now include narrative elements, and the design table was reworked with a tip system that offers hints on orders.

The Orkenstone now spreads corruption across the landscape at night, adding a new layer of pressure to the game's nighttime loop.

Masters of Albion launched in early access in April. Peter Molyneux described the game as his final title. pcgamer.com first reported the update details.
