merao software opens Steam page for HEAD FIRST, ROLL OUT!

The physics action game launches on PC in 2027 with Japanese and English support, and demos are planned for two Tokyo events in October 2026.

merao software has opened the Steam store page for its new action game HEAD FIRST, ROLL OUT! and is accepting wishlist registrations, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp. The PC (Windows/Steam) title is planned for release in 2027, with the price still undecided and Japanese and English language support confirmed.

The game is a 3D physics action title in which players do not control the main character directly. Instead, they operate a small UFO connected to the character by a cable. The UFO fires a "floor denting beam" that creates slopes in the floor, letting the character roll under gravity, while the cable's length limits how far the UFO can move away.

The goal is to collect body parts scattered around a voxel world and escape. Objects in the stages also move through physics simulation, adding puzzle elements such as pushing or rolling objects to open up paths. The game is single-player with full controller support; Steam Deck compatibility is undetermined.

Demo sessions in October 2026

The game will be playable at DREAMSCAPE#5 on October 24, 2026, at booth B-25, and at Tokyo Game Dungeon 14 on October 31, 2026, at booth 2E-19. It was previously exhibited at Tokyo Game Dungeon 13 in August 2026, where many visitors tried it.

merao software's earlier game, built on a "push the floor to roll a ball" idea conceived about 40 years ago, won the top prize at the 21st UE5 Petit Con and was playable at UNREAL FEST 2024 TOKYO hosted by Epic Games Japan. The studio's work was also featured in narration on a Friday, September 18 broadcast of TV Tokyo's Tokyo PC Club, which described it as a title that drew particular attention at the venue.
