Mimic Busters launches on Steam with 38% off until October 30
The online hide-and-seek game from DevAdam and Tape Corps lets mimics 3D-model their own disguise, priced at 570 yen during launch week.
Mimic Busters, an online multiplayer hide-and-seek game, launched on PC via Steam on October 16. It is developed by DevAdam and Tape Corps and published by GameDev.ist, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp.
Players are split into mimic and hunter teams, and the mimic side starts as a simple cube. Using a 3D modeling tool, mimics shape and paint the cube to resemble objects around the map. Points increase for hiding in a large form or hiding close to MBI investigators.
Mimics make a sound every 30 seconds, and hunters use that sound to narrow down their location. Hunters also lose stamina each time they fire their gun.
Alongside the standard mode, the game includes modes such as a quiz mode in which one player builds a 3D model to a prompt while the others guess what it is, and a deathmatch mode.
The game costs 570 yen (tax included), a 38% discount from its regular price of 920 yen, until October 30.
