Mortal Shell 2 Rotten Autumn update out now with 15 new dungeons

The update also adds a photo mode, an alternative soundtrack by Rotting Christ's Sakis Tolis and new shell customization options.

Mortal Shell 2's Rotten Autumn update is out now, adding 15 new dungeons to the game, according to rockpapershotgun.com. The update also brings 10 new tarstones, including one made for sheep, plus a photo mode.

Music is part of the package: the update includes an alternative soundtrack composed by Sakis Tolis of the metal band Rotting Christ.

Cosmetic additions cover new shell customization options, among them a pumpkin-helmeted shell, along with an Impervious Lute skin and more lute tracks. Nightmode gains new lighting presets, and the game adds what the update calls overkill graphics settings.

The patch also includes polishing and bug fixes, and adds a lost Shell ghost that offers cryptic notes to players.

Earlier updates since launch

Mortal Shell 2 launched in August 2026. A previous update added an experimental mode focused on reactive enemy scaling, while an earlier one introduced extra beacons and new items and fixed riposte damage scaling.
