Needle In A Haystack Simulator Playtest Starts Next Week

Polden Publishing will launch a playtest for the casual needle-finding game, including a hardcore mode and a secret third mode.

Polden Publishing announced on October 24 that a playtest for Needle In A Haystack Simulator will begin next week, according to gamespark.jp. The playtest is intended to eliminate bugs, gather feedback and polish the overall game experience.

The playtest will include a hardcore mode for people who enjoy pain, plus a secret third mode. Details of the playtest modes will be revealed soon.

The game is described as a casual game about finding one needle in a mountain of 5 million haystacks, based on an overseas idiom. Studio Bitdot is developing the title, which is headed to Steam.

The game gained attention after Nas posted a concept video on X on August 22, which had over 54 million views as of October 24. Soon after it went viral, imitation games appeared on Roblox, and searches such as 'Needle Haystack' on Steam return many similar games.

The developer of a later similar game, Needle In A Haystack, complained that another similar game stole its code, and users reacted coldly.
