Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Hands-On: 10 Sports, Mouse Mode
Polygon played an hour of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, the Switch 2 exclusive follow-up to Nintendo Switch Sports, including skateboarding with Joy-Con 2 mouse mode.
Polygon has published a hands-on preview of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, a Switch 2 exclusive and a follow-up to Nintendo Switch Sports (2022), after playing the game for roughly an hour.
The preview lists 10 activities in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort: bowling, golf, tennis, table tennis, skateboarding, Power Cruising, Prop Plane, Thumb Wrestling, Archery and boxing.
Several events use the Switch 2's Joy-Con 2 controllers in different ways. The skateboarding game can be controlled in mouse mode, Power Cruising is played by holding both Joy-Con 2 controllers like handlebars, and Prop Plane is played with a single Joy-Con 2 held like a paper airplane, according to Polygon.
Return to Wuhu Island
The series' resort setting dates back to Wii Sports, which was released in 2006 and sold 82 million copies and introduced Wuhu Island, the location that Nintendo Switch Sports Resort returns to.
