Novus Inceptio gets first update since 2018 as development resumes
The early access survival game expands its map from 9 km² to 64 km² and rebuilds combat, with co-op planned.
Novus Inceptio has received its first update since 2018, and its developer says the early access survival game is back in development. The update expands the map from 9 km² to 64 km² of wilderness and rebuilds combat.
The game is now singleplayer, and developer McMagic Productions has plans to add co-op.
McMagic Productions, the studio of Martin Markus Mastný, asked players on Steam on October 5 to give Novus Inceptio one more chance, saying it is back in development.
Novus Inceptio entered early access on October 5, 2015, and remains in early access. Mastný worked full time on the game from early 2016 until 2019, nonstop, and suffered burnout. Development was halted for roughly seven years before this update.
