Nvidia has launched a new DLSS 5 preset that is up to 30-40% faster than previous versions, at the cost of slightly less impressive graphics uplifts, according to wccftech.com. The preset has been added to PC games via injectors.
Adrian Chmielarz, founder of The Astronauts, said he initially disliked DLSS 5 but now considers it amazing when used in moderation. He compared the technology's acceptance to that of DLSS 3, which faced the "fake frames" controversy when it premiered.
Several games already support or will soon support DLSS 5. NBA 2K27 officially supports the technology, Hogwarts Legacy will be updated with DLSS 5 on November 5, and Where Winds Meet is set to add it in late November.
